Another week in Hospital- English Fast

Image
Kody's zone had an English fast this week. When I spoke to him today, he said it was hard speaking English. The language is coming:). They rode their bikes to Chonga and found this beautiful steam and horses.  Kody is realizing how important wards and branches are. A place normal people come to worship and lift one another.  The weather is turning chilly in the mornings. He has grown to love Hospital.

Another week in Hospital

Elder Wastlund finally got my Valentine package and my breakfast in a box. We actually got to watch him open it. He was very grateful for all the treats because he was out of mission money for the week and wasn't able to get many groceries. They had a meeting with their district, which Elder Stoker taught as the District president. They also  traveled to San Bernardo for a mission volleyball tournament on Pday. They won 4 in a row and then lost. They got to eat at McDonald's while they were there. He said it tasted so good. He is loving the mission more and more, and realizing the importance of the work he is doing. Because Hospital is so small they talk to every single person they meet, which is great practice.  He is loving the "Infinite Atonement" book he is reading and realizes that that is the key. We couldn't do it without Jesus. ...

Transfers...Not!

I am doing amazing, but might not be able to call. We have been in another city all day dropping off a bike to be fixed, going shopping, walking everywhere and super far with the Hermanas in Buin for lunch with our bikes and all of our groceries for the week, and now because we have our bikes and groceries with us we haven't been able to fit on the last couple trains. So I don't know when we will get home.  We had transfers this week. Nothing happened with us so that means another month with Elder Stoker getting absolute shredded legs.

Missionary Training

Hola buenos días!!  I pray that everyone is happy and healthy. I send everyone !Buenas! from Chile. I love being a missionary. I learn so much every day. I've learned how to live with someone. Also how to live with the way someone is. Haha. I've learned how much good there is in the world. Also how much people suffer in this world. And that's why this world needs the gospel of Jesus Christ. I've learned that the smallest things help in the biggest ways. Every day we talk to and pass by so many people. It's crazy to think that your smile, nice comment, deed of service, hug, laugh, and any tiny act of love can brighten someone's day. This life is a gift, every mountain you have to climb. Every river you have to cross is for your benefit. And so you can help someone else up their mountain and across their river. Love God with all thy heart, might, mind, and strength and thy neighbor as thyself. It's that simple. And if we love our Father in Heaven, for he truly...
