Kody

 

Kody and Elder Lonnecker have been so worried about Omaro. He asked us to pray for him to have the desire to be baptized. Satan was working really hard on him. I prayed that he would be able to withstand the doubts of the adversary. They went to their last appointment and they read him Alma 7 and a scripture from Deuteronomy and asked him if he felt ready to be baptized, and miraculously he said yes! They remained clam but were shouting for joy on the inside. Everything was working against them clear up until the baptism. They had a struggle getting the baptism clothes, filling the font, and realizing the water was green, but it happened! Sebastian the ward mission leader and his wife who is the relief society president invited them to dinner after the baptism. 

 We sent a package to Kody with mini birthday cakes, decorations, a few snacks, some books and a “cheesy” card from everyone in the family. He said it made an ordinary day feel like his birthday. Last birthday on the mission! Can’t wait to see him in 4 1/2 months!
