Mission Update: 1 Month
Mission update: 1 Month
Hola amigos y familia. I hope everyone is having a marvelous day! I can’t believe it's only been 1 single month doing online missionary training. I have learned and grown so much in such a short time. And as tough as it is, staring at a screen for 6 plus hours a day, If i can help even one person feel the joy and love of the Savior through his Gospel, all of my studies will be worth it:). Trying to speak a whole new language is kinda hard for me but I have gotten a lot better. The biggest thing that has made Home-Mtc enjoyable is my wonderful district and teachers. Elder Pepa, Chiles, Easterbrook, Moore, Zarada, and Sister Whatcott and Mcmillan. We’ve had so many awesome dialogues and fun experiences, each one of them has something I aspire to be like. I love them all. I'm very grateful to be at home and to be able to spend time with my family. I love them so much and hopefully it won't be too hard to leave them for 2 years (triste). The person I will probably come to miss the most is my angel Mother. I leave for Santiago on Feb 3 and I can never be grateful enough for everything she has done for me in my life. But especially for preparing to live in a forgien country for two years, her help has made it way less stressful.
Recently I have been reading in the third book of Nephi, in the Book of Mormon when the Savior visited the America’s.
“But behold I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them who despitefully use you and persecute you;”
It is so important to love everyone, as Jesus does. But today I would like to invite you to think on how you can love especially those who you might have a little grudge against. Or maybe even someone who goes out of their way to make you feel bad, go out of your way to make them feel good 😊. I promise you will also feel good.
I love you all, Elder Wastlund
