Mission Conference

Holo, Elder Wastlund here. Good morning . Sorry I haven't written an email in a while. But I'm alive! And I'm doing amazing. Like one of my dear friends, Elder Bliss, said in his email yesterday,

"I am just full of gratitude for every blessing God has given me and I'm so grateful for all the wonderful people God has put in my life to help shape me into the man I'm becoming. Seriously I don't feel deserving to have the greatest family in the world and the most wonderful friends:)"

That's exactly how I feel. I am grateful for a merciful Father in Heaven and the Gospel of Hope, the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that is available for all of his children. And the truth of it can be made known unto us through the Holy Spirit.

"Behold, you have my gospel before you, and my rock, and my salvation.

"Ask the Father in my name in faith, believing that you shall receive, and you shall have the Holy Ghost, which manifests all things which are expedient unto the children of men."

Yesterday we attended a Mission Conference with the whole mission. President Christensen, the Area President, came and instructed us. He also announced that Elder D. Todd Christofferson is coming to our mission in June! President Christensen and President Cotrell talked a lot about the spirit. Something they said is that even though when we are baptized and receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost we have the "constant companionship" of the spirit. If we are worthy of it, that doesn't mean we can always feel it. Like any good teacher, the Holy Ghost sometimes steps back to let us figure some things out by ourselves.

Right now I'm still in Hospital. Still bike mucho every day. I'm officially accustomed to Chile, I think jaja. And I can communicate with most people now which is good. Except for all the people that are missing at least 6 of their teeth. Sadly, We haven't had any baptisms in this area for a while. We have some super cool amigos that could get baptized, but NO ONE GETS MARRIED HERE, and to get married here is more complicated than the states. So that's fun. But anyway I love you all. I hope everyone is doing wonderful and that this little update could've helped you in some way. Haha choa!
