“cleanse from all unrighteousness"- Alma 7:14

 Hello Friends and Family. A lot of things have happened recently.  Elder Renlund came to our mission, and I'm going back to the Buin Zone tomorrow (the southeast part of the mission) as a Zone Leader. I'm nervous but very excited. I've been serving as a District Leader trainer for almost 4 months. My new companion, Elder Correa, is from Argentina and I think he has more time in the Mission than me. I'm excited to only speak Spanish😁. 

The Conference with Elder Renlund and Elder Godoy was really good:
Jesus Christ is our kind heavenly friend. He loves to heal broken hearts that seem unhealable. He loves to restore things that seem like they can't be restored. His grace is sufficient for the meek(ether 12:26).
He said he came to deliver a very important message from the first presidency. Then in the name of the lord, he thanked us for our faithfulness and service.  
Elder Godoy shared a cool principle. I will attach the picture of the not very well taken notes but basically in our lives and in the church as we receive callings and responsibilities, we start as a little person inside of that calling or responsibility but we fill the mantle of our calling by experience, service, and Christ like attributes.

 21 hours travel time, but that hug was worth it! I imagine heaven will be the same. Years will become an instant, and then suddenly love and remembrance will fill our hearts and we will feel as though we were never apart. I am so thankful for eternal families! And for this missionary who served with his whole heart. We love you Elder Wastlund, well done!

Release

 Kody was released as a missionary by President Barney just a few hours after arriving home.  Kody said as President Barney released him he could feel the Lord's acceptance of his work and a feeling of love and appreciation. He was given the neatest blessing and told that he could not progress now without an eternal companion by his side.  The next morning he reported his mission to the high council, and I was so proud of him and amazed at how much he had grown in two years.  He spoke with humility and power. We whisked him away to Disneyland on a family trip the next week.  The following Sunday he reported his mission in church, and did an amazing job. I cried mot of the way through.  Our family then sang "If I Were a Shepherd" a Christmas song about being a disciple of Christ. I was so grateful to have all of my family by my side again.  I am excited to see what is in store next for this new man who has been refined by the Lord.
