Hello Family and beloved friends! It was a weeeek. It is Summer! The sun hits differently here in Chile, maybe it's because we never really left the house in St. George, but we are outside all day every day. I've been here in Jardines for 2 weeks now and man, the time has flown! I literally can't remember being in my last area Baquedano. Our branch finally got a mission leader which is awesome. Being here in this district that we're trying to make a Stake, really puts in perspective what the Lord is doing to prepare his church and his people for when he comes again. The mission is focusing on establishing and strengthening the church because Chile has baptized a lot, but the church hasn't been growing like other places.
A couple things that we did this week.
1. Combined District Council with the whole Zone(we did role plays on the stage😅)
2. We painted this outside restaurant of a member that gives us lunch a lot 😋.
3. We had 2 baptisms the weekend I got here.
4. We had a Pday Activity with the whole Zone.
5. MIRACLE‼️ So when we painted the members restaurant, at the end right before we left, one of the cooks(Victoria)there was quitting and taking her fridges and appliances from the place and she wouldn't have been able to put those fridges in the back of the truck so easily because she only had one guy to help her that we had actually met and taught a couple days earlier😅(Amado). And she told us that she lives really close to Amado. So we got to help her.... and we could say that that is the miracle, but, a couple days later we were having an awful day. The Sun, we didn't have any lessons, everyone was saying no, and to be honest we didn't have much faith in the Lord or ourselves. But we went to visit that Amado guy and he and his friends were drinking. He came out stumbling asking for forgiveness. We calmed him down and moved on, we were trying to find this one street and got lost and went in a circle. But as we were leaving we heard someone yell "ELDERS" we turned around and saw Victoria. She invited us in and we talked for a long time. Turns out she has been searching for a Church for years, she told us a lot about her life, really sad and happy as well. As she talked I felt the love that God had for her and I have never felt a stronger desire for someone to learn the truth of the restored gospel in my life. 7 years ago she had talked with the missionaries and even went to church a couple times. We testified and explained the doctrine of the apostasy and restoration. She said she wanted to read more of the book of Mormon and Joseph Smith History. I know we were led by the Lord and we gave thanks to God in humble prayer right after we left her house.
Wow long email huh, at least for me love y’all!
